pharmaphorum update – what can pharma learn from patient sites?

Posted 12th May 2010, 10:41:28

Dear members,

This week the lead article takes us back into the world of social media again, but this time from the perspective of the patients. Indeed, patients have been the early drivers of healthcare on the internet, using online groups to come together, share experiences and provide mutual support. In doing so, both the patients and those developing the sites have learnt a lot about how such engagement works and how it could be used to provide a more powerful voice in communicating with pharma. So as pharma starts to embrace digital communication let us know what you think it can learn from such sites and how it should be engaging with patients through them.
