News

The first manufacturing facility to be built by Jazz Pharmaceuticals has broken ground in Ireland, about 75 miles from its Dublin headquarters, in Monksland, County Roscommon.

The plant will provide 50 new jobs in pharmaceuticals in addition to the 160 jobs in construction in the meantime.

"Today marks a milestone for Jazz Pharmaceuticals as we break ground in Ireland and begin, for the first time, construction on a manufacturing and development facility.

"This investment not only strengthens our international manufacturing capabilities, but importantly represents our commitment to expanding our presence in Ireland."

Bruce Cozadd, chairman and chief executive, Jazz Pharmaceuticals.
